Fusion Cares

What is Fusion Cares?

Caring for each other in the church is essential for fostering a strong, supportive, and loving community that reflects Christ’s love for the world. John 13:35 says, "By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another".

The Bible emphasizes the importance of caring for one another in numerous passages, such as Galatians 6:2 which says, "Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." This commandment reminds us that we are not meant to go through life alone, but rather to share our struggles and joys with our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Everyone goes through difficult times. Having someone to care, to listen, to share God's love with you can help you get through the confusion, stress, or loneliness you may be experiencing

Here are some ways we can care for each other in the church:

Fusion Care Teams exist to serve those who are in need and at risk in our community by:

  • Showing them the love and acceptance of Jesus

  • Supporting them through prayer

  • Meeting practical needs

  • Connecting them with community resources.

Fusion Cares Ministry has five facets of help to those in need:

  • Visitation

  • Intercessory Prayer

  • Sunday Prayer

  • Social and Physical Needs

  • Biblical Counseling & Pastoral Care.

As members of a community of faith, we are called to support and encourage one another in our spiritual journey, and to provide care and assistance to those who are struggling.

If you are in need of care, please fill out the form below.

Do you like cooking and making other happy with your food?

We are also looking for people to people to be part of certain areas of the Care Team.

One of them is to be on the list for Meal Train.  A Meal Train is activated for various situations (birth, major surgery, death in the immediate family, etc) identified by the care team where a member of the church would be blessed with warm meals from the church family to ease their burden.

Members on the list to serve on Meal Train will be notified of the need, and an open schedule will then be provided.  Volunteers can select the date, tand ime if/when they are available to make and deliver the meal.  You can volunteer only if you are available and it is not mandatory.

Five Branches of the Fusion Cares Ministry

  • Prayer Team

    James 5:13-15 ESV

Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

    Mission:

The Visitation Team is dedicated to fulfilling our calling of discipleship by offering companionship and support to members of our church family who are elderly, hospitalized, home-bound, new parents, or grieving the loss of a loved one. Through our visits, we provide active listening, comfort, empathy, encouragement, and spiritual support.

    Vision:

Our vision is to attend to the emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of the elderly, home-bound, and those in need within our church community. We strive to make them feel valued, heard, and loved. By visiting them, we offer encouragement, read the Bible together, share in communion, pray, and provide anointing with oil when appropriate, fostering a sense of belonging and spiritual nourishment.

  • Intercessory Prayer Team

    1 Timothy 2:1-4 ESV

1 First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

The Intercessory Prayer Team plays a vital role in advancing God's Kingdom through prayer and intercession. Below is a summarized mission and vision statement, along with the responsibilities of the team:

Mission: The Intercessory Prayer Team is dedicated to answering God's call to prayer, interceding for His will to be done across the earth, and fostering unity in the church through the power of prayer.

Vision: We envision our church as a “house of prayer,” where prayer is an integral part of every ministry and activity. Prayer meetings are Spirit-led and well-attended, and we eagerly expect and experience God's answers to our prayers. Our church community will be marked by individuals who are deeply devoted to prayer, reliant on the Holy Spirit, and growing in their relationship with God.

    The Intercessory Prayer Team will:

Meet Weekly: Gather each week during the daytime hours for prayer and intercession.

Receive Prayer Requests: The team will be provided with prayer requests from the church office, ensuring that the needs of the congregation are covered in prayer.

Phone Calls: Offer support by making phone calls to those who have requested prayer, providing a personal connection and encouragement.

Follow-up and Status Checks: Follow up with individuals after their prayer requests have been addressed, checking on their progress and ensuring continued support.

Report Needs to the Office: If additional assistance or prayer support is required, the team will inform the church office to ensure the request is fully addressed.

This structure ensures a dynamic, responsive, and Spirit-led prayer ministry that nurtures spiritual growth and fosters a community of prayer throughout the church.

  • Support Team

    1 Timothy 6:18-19 ESV

They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.

    Mission
We believe that the church is called to fulfill the biblical mandate of offering care and support to those in need. Through a thoughtfully designed strategy, we aim to build a network of compassionate outreach that addresses the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of individuals and families in our community.

    Vision
We are committed to serving others with compassion by meeting their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, while sharing the message of the Gospel through evangelism and discipleship. We recognize that people’s well-being is interconnected across physical, mental, social, and spiritual dimensions. We envision a church that is equipped and ready to connect those in need with available community resources through education, awareness, and partnerships with local agencies. Beyond simply pointing to resources, we aspire to actively meet needs by providing hands-on care and support to make a tangible difference in people's lives.

*Join the support team by serving in Meal Train.  If there is a need to provide meals to our church community, members of the Meal Train will be notified and team members can sign up if available.

  • Biblical Counseling & Pastoral Care

    Proverbs 11:14 ESV

Where there is no guidance, a person falls, but in an abundance of counselors, there is safety.

The mission of the Pastoral Care Team:

To provide a ministry of support, hope, and biblical guidance so that no one in the congregation feels alone during difficult times or while navigating challenging life seasons.

Vision of the Pastoral Care Team:

To create a present and available church that is ready to offer care, biblical guidance, and counsel. This will foster an atmosphere that promotes biblical living and Christ-centered dependency, with biblical counsel being an essential part of discipleship and care for the flock.

Role of the Biblical Counsel Guidance Team:

    Initial Contact and Assessment:

Once notified of a congregant’s need for support, the team will make initial contact promptly, either by phone, email or in person.

Arrange a meeting to identify the specific needs and challenges of the individual.

    Providing Biblical Counsel:

During the meeting(s), the team will provide biblical counsel by listening to the individual's concerns and offering scripture-based advice that aligns with God's Word.

The council will emphasize hope, healing, and encouragement through faith and biblical principles.

    Identifying Further Support Needs:

The team will assess whether additional meetings or sessions are necessary to address ongoing challenges.

If needed, they will refer the individual to other church leaders, resources, or support services.

Completion of Church-Appropriate Treatment Plan Form:

The team will complete a Treatment Plan Form, documenting:

The individual's details (Name, Phone, Email).

The assigned counselor or individual with whom they will meet.

Action steps: clear biblical guidance and practical steps for the individual to follow.

Necessary follow-up: who will follow up and when to ensure continued care.

Conclusion: A summary of the progress and the expected outcome or next steps for spiritual growth or recovery.

By following these steps, the Biblical Counsel Guidance Team will create a system that ensures effective and compassionate care for every congregant, empowering them to navigate life’s challenges while remaining grounded in their faith.
